I got an overdose of Lana Del Rey when she got super popular and her music was playing everywhere this year. Her sultry and yet dramatic voice and music is just beautiful but enough is enough.
When I heard "Ride" and saw this short movie kind of melancholic music video about the "American dream gone sideways" I started to like her again. She really puts herself out there and has the balls to play this clingy hillbilly chic hooking up with really rugged biker and trucker types (and not in the hottie way rugged) and seeming not really to have any other purpose or goal but to do that. Not really the kind of female type you usually see in the music videos nowadays. She does´t take herself too seriously that is really refreshing!
